Sei Network will undergo a major upgrade in March, and the relevant team has issued an emergency alert: all USDC.n (cross-chain USDC issued via Noble Chain) holders need to exchange for native USDC as soon as possible before the upgrade.

Why exchange? After the upgrade, USDC.n is very likely to become invalid on the network, possibly untradeable or losing all value. This is not a small matter—if you still hold this version of the stablecoin, you need to act quickly.

The background of USDC.n is as follows: early on, Circle issued USDC cross-chain to Sei via Noble Chain. Before the official native USDC was launched, it was the main form of USDC on the network. But now the situation has changed; the official Sei native USDC has been launched, and this upgrade aims to complete that transition.

In simple terms: if you have USDC.n, exchange it for native USDC quickly—don't wait until after the network upgrade and regret it.

Another upgrade like this, every time I have to tinker with the wallet again --- Brothers who haven't exchanged USDC.n yet, really don't wait anymore, it’s coming in March --- If I had known, I wouldn’t have touched cross-chain stuff. Now I have to do it manually again, so annoying --- So, this is how things are in the official ecosystem. Today’s gold medal, tomorrow’s worthless paper --- Has anyone encountered issues with not being able to exchange? Gas fees are insanely high right now --- The thing is, this is why I keep saying don’t hold too many stablecoins on small chains

ngl this is basically just cleaning up the kitchen before dinner service... USDC.n holders better start marinating that swap or they're gonna get burned when the upgrade kicks in 🍳

It's the same old trick again—cross-chain USDC failure. How many rounds has this old game been played? Has no one learned their lesson? Hurry up and switch, everyone, before you become the bag holder.

Damn, it's time to switch coins again. Sei's move this time is pretty aggressive. USDC.n needs to be sold quickly, or it'll be a huge loss. The thing to fear is slow reactions; if it really becomes worthless, that would be ridiculous. Wish I hadn't touched cross-chain stuff; it's really troublesome.
