When it comes to the integration of blockchain and finance, most people's first reactions are either privacy exposure or being stuck at regulatory hurdles. But Dusk Foundation is trying a completely different approach.

In simple terms, Dusk is a Layer 1 public chain specifically designed for regulated financial markets. Its core idea is clear—using zero-knowledge proofs and the Segregated Byzantine Agreement consensus mechanism as two powerful tools to enable institutions to confidently issue, trade, and settle various financial assets on-chain, without worrying about transaction data being exposed.

On the technical level, Dusk adopts a modular architecture, separating the settlement layer and execution layer through tools like DuskDS and DuskEVM. What are the benefits of this approach? Developers can continue using familiar EVM tools to write smart contracts, while maintaining compliance and privacy controls. Both aspects are addressed simultaneously.

Another pillar of the ecosystem is the $DUSK token. It not only fuels network transactions and smart contracts but also takes on the roles of consensus, governance, and ecosystem incentives.

From the perspective of bringing traditional capital markets on-chain, Dusk's approach is quite interesting. It aims to strike a balance between transparent auditing, transaction speed, and privacy protection, which could be a key infrastructure for RWA and compliant DeFi sectors. It’s worth keeping an eye on the project's future developments.
