An emergency app specifically designed for people living alone quickly climbed the top charts on the App Store. Its core features are very practical: completing a check-in within 48 hours proves everything is normal; otherwise, the system will automatically send notification emails to the designated emergency contacts.

The product logic is clear and addresses a real social pain point—when living alone, it’s often difficult to detect accidents in time. However, speaking of which, the name of this app is indeed quite likely to make people frown. It might be better to name it something like "Still Alive," which at least sounds less stiff and would improve user experience. But from a functional perspective, the emergence of this type of app still fills a gap that many people silently need.

This name is really clever, "Still Alive" is so good haha Living alone really needs this thing, it's too scary if something suddenly happens and no one notices Checking in every 48 hours is okay, not too troublesome, just depends on how stable it remains Changing the name could probably double the downloads, the product itself has no logical issues It's a bit dark but really solves a pain point, thumbs up for this idea

Oh wow, this app name really makes you think about who needs to check in again. Checking in every 48 hours daily, more diligent than taking medicine, that's pretty impressive. "Still alive" is a good name, hits right in the heart, much better than that stiff name. Actually, the pain point for people living alone is right there, and this type of app does hit the mark. But honestly, you still have to go out and meet people often; the app is just an alternative option.

Checking in once every 48 hours is a bit harsh, it feels like a ticking time bomb. The anxiety of people living alone is being turned into a business. The app name is indeed disappointing; "Still Alive" is actually more comforting. This feature is actually pretty good, just a bit weird to use. Just imagining the system sending "person lost contact" emails is already despairing enough. Who are these people with such mindsets to download this, haha. Renaming it really can save this app; the current name sounds like a curse.

Haha, a blessing for solo dwellers. Check in every 48 hours, or else parents will start receiving emails. To be honest, this feature really hits close to home, but as long as it's useful, that's what matters. The name "Still Alive" is truly brilliant, much better than the official name.
