For the demand for decentralized storage, it ultimately boils down to three words: easy to use, sufficient, and cost-effective. Many projects like to show off technology and create hype, which actually complicates things.

Recently, I spent some time testing Walrus Protocol's storage solution, trying out various data types from documents to images and videos, and its stability performed quite well. The most impressive part is their use of Red Stuff 2D erasure coding technology—simply put, data is split into multiple parts and stored on different nodes, so even if a node goes offline, there's no need to worry about data loss. This solution, combined with a 4.5x replication factor, ensures security without being as costly as one might think.

For individual users, Quilt's bulk storage feature is very user-friendly. I mainly use it to store Web3 notes and various credentials. The operation process is simple and straightforward, the costs are within an acceptable range, and there's no need to rely on centralized platforms anymore.

Looking at the design of the WAL token, it doesn't rely on complicated mechanisms. Payments, staking, governance—all the necessary functions are there, and the allocation clearly favors the community, which shows the project team is genuinely sincere. Ultimately, Web3 infrastructure needs practicality and implementability. Flashy features are useless if they don't solve problems, reduce costs, or improve the user experience—that's the real key.

To be honest, the Walrus plan is indeed solid. Projects that don't show off tend to last longer.

Someone finally said it. Those projects that constantly boast about technology are really annoying. Simplicity and ease of use are the hard truths.

Someone finally told the truth. Compared to those who constantly boast about technical parameters, this pragmatic approach is what Web3 truly needs.

Really, there are so many projects now that it feels like rocket science. I just want to hear one thing—usable, affordable, no fuss. Walrus is indeed solid this time, not full of all that fluff.

Someone finally said it: it really doesn't have to be so complicated, just use what works. Walrus's system is indeed reliable.

Honestly, there are too many flashy projects nowadays, which actually drive users away. To be honest, Walrus's approach is truly practical. Testing shows that it is usable and the cost is acceptable. This is the kind of Web3 infrastructure we should have. This is what I want to see—no need for all those fancy gimmicks. Human needs are so simple—just be easy to use, and say less nonsense. Quilt is really comfortable to use; finally, I can ditch centralized platforms. WAL's token design is spot on—simple and to the point. The focus on leaning towards the community is indeed interesting. Finally, a project understands that users don't care how complex your technology is; solving problems is enough.

The consultation records show that this project indeed does not suffer from over-design issues. Red Stuff erasure coding with a 4.5x replication factor—data redundancy is relatively restrained, at least not falling into the trap of "the higher the replication factor, the safer." Cost control is worth regular review to prevent storage costs from becoming overwhelming in the later stages. Quilt's batch processing feature is simple, but how is its liquidity indicator? When large-scale fund outflows occur, can it stabilize? That’s the real test. The WAL token's tilt towards the community sounds good, but are there governance participation data? Don’t let it become just a verbal promise.
