Gua Robot reportedly completed a Series B funding round of $120 million (approximately HKD 936 million), attracting over 15 investors including Didi, Meituan Longzhu, and others. Existing shareholders Hillhouse Capital and Vertex Growth under Temasek Singapore also participated.

According to China Securities Journal, Gua Robot previously completed a $100 million Series A funding round in January last year, with a total of $220 million raised in Series A and B. Other investors in this round include Synstellation Capital, Baorui Capital, Jiuyang Family Office, BAIC Industry Investment, Jiukun Venture Capital, Xinlian Capital, and Yary Capital.

Data shows that Gua Robot was originally the AIoT division of Horizon Robotics (09660), which officially spun off in 2024. Its positioning is as a provider of universal robot hardware and software platforms, not developing robots themselves, but offering a “selling shovel” approach—providing chips, algorithms, and software tools for R&D, mass production, and application across various robotic products.
