Survey: Claims That AI Is Stealing Jobs Lack Evidence; Companies Should Disclose Actual Impact of AI on Layoffs

Deep Tide TechFlow News, March 16, According to Nikkei Asia, Associate Professor Kelvin Law of Nanyang Technological University’s School of Accountancy wrote that multiple surveys show there is currently little evidence that AI is a primary reason for layoffs. AI is more often used as a “shareholder-friendly” excuse for companies to cut costs. He calls on companies to proactively disclose the actual impact of AI on workforce changes.
