The Across Protocol uses an innovative intention-driven architecture that allows users to specify transaction goals without having to worry about technical details. The protocol relies on a competitive relay network and UMA’s optimistic oracle to ensure efficient and secure transactions, addressing the issue of multi-chain fragmentation and improving overall blockchain synergy.
Technical Architecture and Operation Process
- Users deposit assets into the Spoke Pool of the source chain, along with the address of the target chain and fee instructions.
- Relayers check and provide funds to the target chain in real time to complete the transaction.
- Relayers submit proofs to the optimistic oracle for verification and receive compensation upon approval.
- Liquidity providers (LPs) inject funds into the Hub Pool to ensure liquidity and earn fees.
- If the relay cannot be completed in time, the system will use the slow channel to ensure the completion of the transaction.
