Founded by Turing Award winner Yann LeCun, AMI Labs has completed $1.03 billion in funding, with a pre-money valuation of $3.5 billion. The company is dedicated to developing the “world model”—an artificial intelligence that learns from reality rather than language. CEO Alexandre LeBrun noted that the field is attracting significant investment, including partners like digital health startup Nabla, who are ready for early access. The funding round was co-led by CPE Innovation, Greycroft, and others, with participation from NVIDIA, Samsung, and numerous corporate angel investors. Although commercial applications may take several years, the startup plans to release an open-source version and build teams in Paris, New York, Montreal, and Singapore.
