BlockBeats message, April 5, according to CCTV International News, Iran’s armed forces’ Khatam al-Anbiya Central Command released a statement today (April 5) saying that in response to the actions taken by the United States to rescue the pilot of its fighter jet that was shot down, Revolutionary Guard fighters carried out a joint operation with the Basij militias, and with the cooperation of the special assault team of the law-enforcement commandos, they hit and destroyed the enemy aircraft in southern Isfahan.
That same day, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps also said that during the U.S. military pilot rescue mission, Iran’s armed forces carried out a joint operation involving multiple departments to destroy the enemy aircraft. At present, this report has not yet been confirmed by the U.S. side.
On the same day, according to a report on the website of The New York Times, two U.S. military transport aircraft encountered malfunctions while carrying out a pilot rescue mission in Iran, and were “stranded.” The U.S. military then dispatched three new aircraft to continue the rescue mission, and blew up the two malfunctioning transport aircraft.
