The RWA surge, a qualitative change from "storytelling" to "collecting rent".
The total scale of RWA continues to grow, making one unable to help but exclaim: crypto has finally learned how to "make serious money." In the past, DeFi was like a twenty-year-old lad, only knowing how to farm yield and use leverage, playing with passion and speed. Now, RWA is like a middle-class individual in their thirties who has transformed, suddenly realizing that "stable rental income" is the real deal.
Why are RWAs on fire? The reason is simple: on-chain assets are too illusory, with price fluctuations of 20% happening all the time, making people's hearts race like an ECG. RWAs introduce real assets, such as government bonds and commercial papers, which directly bring stable returns, like providing Crypto with a "iron rice bowl."
But don't forget that the growth of RWA also means that "traditional capital is gradually entering the market." This is a double-edged sword for the crypto market: on one hand, there is more abundant funding, while on the other hand, the rules and regulatory thinking of traditional finance will gradually be imported. In other words, the "romance of wild growth" in Crypto may be slowly diluted.
A light-hearted remark: The essence of RWA is to bring a group of people who were originally chasing fantasies to sit at the same table to have tea with Uncle Bond and Aunt Note. It may not sound that cool, but the wallet is the hard truth.

Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies were mixed to start the week as a U.S.-European Union trade deal settled nerves around global economic uncertainty. However, analysts at Cantor Fitzgerald are predicting Bitcoin could go as high as $1 million in the future.
