Misreading PING and PAYAI?

Regarding $PING and $PAYAI , the most asked questions these days are: What are these two doing if they don't pump? One MEME is loudly trying to create a Launchpad, while a utility token is planning to migrate and change pools, as if they want to abandon the project. There is indeed a lot of uncertainty.

To be honest, given the current environment, I have no confidence at all. Let me share some observations that I can understand:

  1. It's completely normal for these two to act this way, and if the market fundamentals change for the better, it would definitely be considered a positive development. The biggest problem with MEME is the lack of continuous empowerment, relying entirely on consensus and sentiment. On the other hand, Facilitator is a technically practical project with a low ceiling and not a high technical threshold, which results in both projects currently lacking the “confidence aspect” support.

The recent actions of PING and PAYAI are actually addressing their respective shortcomings:

PING attempts to empower the stripping of pure MEME attributes with Launchpad, while PAYAI expands from its original tool attributes to infrastructure protocol layer through token migration. Both are upgrades that open up imaginative possibilities.

  1. Since the expected pie has not been fully delivered yet, we can only discuss the logic.

It's not surprising that PING is doing a launchpad, as there is no sentiment or consensus to maintain prices in the bear market fundamentals. The x402 narrative it ignited is likely to fizzle out due to its overly MEME attributes. In contrast, if it's the attribute of a Launchpad platform token, it would be very different, as it can leverage projects launched by the platform—one, two, three—constantly experimenting to empower itself until encountering a good liquidity node, completing the underdog's turnaround and transformation. Viewed in this light, this strategic upgrade is very wise.

PAYAI aims to make token migration less susceptible to suspicion and misinterpretation. I have heard many claims, mostly suggesting that the project party has no chips and uses migration as a means to control the situation. However, if it were merely a conspiracy, wouldn't using FUD be more effective? Therefore, I actually lean towards the idea that the project party is indeed considering the limitations of the Facilitator tool attributes and is attempting to upgrade to a protocol layer to continuously empower the tokens, including staking mechanisms, reward systems, ecological incentives, locking on CEX, etc. Thus, from a broader perspective, this decision is not bad.

  1. As for why the market doesn't understand, it's still that old saying: most people are entering the x402 track with a MEME trading mindset, which is the same thinking as just riding the MEME wave in the past, but the growth and transformation logic of the x402 track cannot be supported by MEME, and it's impossible to see immediate results in the short term.

PING's launchpad is just the beginning of the x402 track asset issuance narrative. It may be very successful or it may be very bad, but more Launchpads are still in the making. Everyone should take a look at the signals revealed by the ideas in the c402 Market. The new round of launchpads is definitely not as simple as issuing useless coins; practical business scenarios like Gamefi and Socialfi can also be used to issue coins, which is a significant improvement over pure chatting.

The upgrade of the protocol service layer for PAYAI is even more subtle. I have heard that this team has a very technical engineering mindset, but the presence of such a team in a bear market is, in my opinion, a good thing. There is enough time for them to prove themselves, and the Facilitator is precisely a niche track where both value capture and business extension can be significant or minimal. The new positioning is exactly where the team begins to continuously empower the Facilitator, ultimately changing the ecological niche and value capture capability of the Facilitator in relation to x402.
