Holding 1000U and want to play contracts? Listen to my advice first—this money isn’t for reckless gambling, it’s your ticket to pay “tuition” eight times.

**Lesson One: Split Your Money Into 8 Survival Portions**

Cut the 1000U into 8 parts, only use 125U each time. The remaining 875U? Lock it in your wallet and don’t touch it.

Why do this? When you only see 12.5% of your funds in your trading account, your impulses will naturally subside. Using a small position to test the waters actually keeps your mindset steadier. Those all-in moves? From now on, they have nothing to do with you—just by doing this, you’ll already leave most newbies behind.

**Lesson Two: Don’t Use More Than 15x Leverage**

Within 15x, you can survive even if the market acts up. Once you go above 20x, a single wick can wipe you out completely.

Understand this: leverage is a double-edged sword. It amplifies your gains, but it also amplifies your risks. Those stories about getting rich quick with 100x leverage? Either they have insider info, or there’s a quant bot running in the background. Regular retail traders should stay away.

**Lesson Three: Cut Losses at 12.5U**

10% of 125U is 12.5U. When you hit that number, close your position immediately—don’t hesitate, don’t hope for a rebound, and definitely don’t go asking in group chats, “Is there still hope?”

Go do something else—close the app, take a shower, go for a walk, and completely erase “getting back to break-even” from your mind. Only review your trades when your emotions have cooled down; if you do it while you’re still upset, you’ll just get more confused and keep losing.

**Lesson Four: Take Profit at 125U**

When your account grows from 125U to 250U, don’t hesitate—withdraw that 125U principal right away.

From this point on, all the money you’re playing with is profit. The principal is your lifeline; profit is what gives you the confidence to go head-to-head with the market. Don’t mix the two up.

**A Few Final Words**

Liquidation never happens because the market is too wild, but because you’re too greedy. If you want to survive in the contract market with 1000U, the key word is—slow.

Go slow enough that others laugh at you for being timid, slow enough that no matter how crazy the market gets, it can’t shake you off. As long as you haven’t used up all eight chances, there’ll always be one where you catch a win.

I’ve been through all the ups and downs myself, and now I finally have some clarity. As long as the fire isn’t out, the road is still ahead—are you willing to walk it steadily with me?
