According to South Korean media Newsis, the Korea Financial Services Commission (FSC) failed to submit the regulatory bill for the Korean won stablecoin by December 10th as required by the government, stating that further coordination with relevant departments is needed. Meanwhile, the Bank of Korea (BOK) demands veto power over stablecoin issuance and restrictions on large technology companies' involvement, which was opposed by the FSC. The divergence between the two agencies continues to cast uncertainty over the future regulation of stablecoins.
