Privacy is transitioning from being marginalized to becoming a genuine necessity. Behind this shift, more and more people are re-evaluating the value of certain privacy-oriented projects.

Going back to the original, the essence of encryption should be like this: peer-to-peer, no third party required, optional identity. Everyone can freely transfer value without any compromises.

But what about reality? Many blockchain networks, in pursuit of efficiency and scalability, have gradually succumbed to surveillance and censorship. Of course, this is a matter of choice. And some projects insist on taking a different path—refusing to compromise, writing privacy into their DNA. It is this persistence that has begun to make them more visible to more people.

Sounds good, but we all know what reality is like. Privacy coins have never lacked conviction; what they lack is a withdrawal card. Wait, is this really going to rebound this time? I bet against it.

This is the true spirit of crypto, otherwise what's the difference from Web2? Projects like Hidden should have turned things around long ago. Regulatory compromises are really disgusting. Privacy is not illegal; it's a basic human right, okay?

Privacy has been a concern that should have been prioritized long ago. It's a bit late to realize now. Projects that prioritize privacy are indeed resisting centralization, but only a few people are truly using them. Centralized platforms will eventually have to pay the price for account security, and this lesson must be learned. It all depends on who can survive until the end.

This is the true Web3, not those projects that compromise with regulations. Privacy should be a fundamental right, and the fact that it now needs to be emphasized shows how serious the problem is. Some major projects have long since fallen, as you can see from the lack of transaction transparency—no privacy at all. Projects that stick to principles may seem out of place, but that's the way it should be. At least they haven't abandoned their original intentions.
