Market downturns are always the toughest test. The community falls silent, information streams are filled with noise, but real gains are often hidden during this period. The key is to identify promising targets, then gradually allocate and hold for the long term.

It sounds simple, but in practice, it's a different story.

Take HYPE as an example. When the price was around $30, I judged that the bottom might be at $10. But what if it truly drops to $10? Even I had to muster all my courage to make a move, and I only bought 1/5 of my position. When I shared this decision, I was even more nervous.

This is reality — a gap between theory and practice caused by human fear. Those who steadily add to their positions at lows often end up earning the most. The problem is, only a few can actually do it.

Basically, it's easy to understand but hard to implement; when it really drops, I still panic.

That's so true, this is exactly my pain point. Talking about bottom-fishing, but when it really drops, my legs go weak. I also went through that HYPE wave, the same mental journey.

Really, that hits too close to home. The theory and actual practice are worlds apart, and in critical moments, I still chickened out. --- I've also experienced that wave of HYPE. When it dropped to that price, my mind went blank, and in the end, I only dared to take a small profit. --- The bottom is always at the next bottom—that's probably the fate of ordinary people like us. --- So, those who can add to their positions in fear are truly different; their psychological resilience is genuinely strong. --- Honestly, the worst thing isn't a drop in price; it's the moment when it falls and you don't have the courage to buy the dip. --- Human greed and fear are a vicious cycle; you'll never achieve that substantial level of profit. --- Adding to your position at the low point sounds simple, but when it comes to actually doing it, your legs are shaking—who can handle that?

You're right, I have the most say on this point. I was also scared during that HYPE wave. When it really hit the bottom, my hands were trembling. I talked a good game, but my legs went weak when it came to actually acting. Those who can confidently increase their positions are indeed a minority. I'm not among that minority. By the way, did your HYPE turn around later? My 1/5 position is still gathering dust. Talking without action doesn't get you anywhere. The key is the psychological barrier, which is the hardest part.
