XRP whale continues to sell off 1.18 billion tokens, halving holdings and triggering downward pressure

【CryptoWorld】On-chain data shows that whale activity for XRP has exhibited significant abnormalities over the past month. Major holders with between 1 million and 100 million XRP have been continuously selling off 1.18 billion tokens. Their total holdings have dropped from nearly 4.8 billion to 3.62 billion within just a few weeks. This is not a temporary impulse but a systematic reduction lasting four full weeks.

Looking at the price timeline, the situation is even more disheartening. XRP once surged to the $2.10–$2.20 range, approaching stability, but the selling wave from large holders directly pulled down the ceiling. Not only did it fail to maintain the high level, but the price also fell to between $1.88 and $1.90. This trend clearly reflects that selling pressure and price decline are occurring simultaneously.

From a market perspective, such large holders usually act as stabilizers during market adjustments, providing liquidity buffers with their holdings. But now, they are dumping, effectively dismantling this defensive line. Unless a wave of demand rebounds afterward to absorb these outflows, XRP will likely continue to face further declines.
