A cautionary tale that's been circulating in the crypto community: someone transferred $5,057 from their account on a major exchange to what they believed was their personal wallet on another platform. Problem was, the destination address wasn't theirs at all—the funds vanished. Turned out they fell victim to a clipboard attack, where malicious software replaces copied wallet addresses with scammer addresses in real-time.

The scary part? This isn't an isolated incident. Reports keep coming in about similar cases where users unknowingly send funds to wrong addresses during cross-exchange transfers. The attacker's method is simple but effective: intercept clipboard data, swap the legitimate address for a fraudulent one in milliseconds.

This is a harsh reminder to always triple-check recipient addresses before confirming any transaction, especially when moving substantial amounts between platforms. Copy-paste might seem convenient, but it's become a vector for sophisticated theft in the crypto space. Stay alert.

Wow, this move is too ruthless, directly changing the clipboard? I’ll have to manually type the address from now on...

The clipboard being hacked is really unbelievable; over $5,000 just disappeared like that... Next time, I should manually enter each address.

I was wondering why so many people are inexplicably losing coins, turns out they all got scammed by the clipboard.

Once again, it's the same clipboard attack routine, and over $5,000 is gone just like that... Really need to be more cautious. --- Rebirth always starts from lessons learned. The brothers who got cut this time are actually giving us all a lesson. --- Manually verifying addresses is such a small task, yet it's the easiest place to go wrong. Mindset, yeah, mindset. --- Being scammed this time is actually a kind of luck; at least I didn't lose everything and can keep fighting. --- Opportunities and traps are often just a copy-paste away. Remembering this lesson is a win. --- Don't panic, don't panic. This is the market teaching us how to live more cautiously. Faith has never been afraid of tests.
