Optimization Directions for the Base Chain Referral Mechanism

Here's an idea: Base should support a permanent, on-chain stored referral code system within applications.

How exactly would it work? Referrers can permanently receive a share of the transaction fees generated by the users they invite. This revenue is enforced directly by smart contracts to ensure transparency and trustworthiness.

There are many benefits to this approach—first, users' invitation actions become a long-term asset rather than a one-time onboarding reward. Second, this mechanism can significantly boost community-driven promotion because the benefits are ongoing and predictable.

From another perspective, on-chain referral codes can also reduce the platform's customer acquisition costs, as the incentives are distributed to each contributor. For the ecosystem, this is like building a self-reinforcing growth engine—early contributors continue to profit, and new users learn about the platform through referrals, creating a positive feedback loop.

Permanent commission? This logic is indeed brilliant, turning every referrer into the platform's distributed sales team, allowing for passive income. Who wouldn't want that?

Perpetual sharing? If this thing can really be executed well, early entrants will definitely have a huge advantage.

This logic makes perfect sense; perpetual sharing is way more attractive than one-time rewards.

perpetual referral yields sound nice on paper, but who's actually paying for this? the fee distribution math rarely holds up under real network load tbh

This logic is pretty interesting, perpetual sharing... and so on. Isn't this just a disguised pyramid scheme? Haha The idea of earning perpetual income sounds great, but the real money-makers are probably the early birds. If Base could really be built like this, I would have already told my friends to join. This mechanism feels more exciting than an airdrop. How long it can last is the question. The enforced execution of the contract sounds good, but I'm worried the team might change the rules later.
