I used to think that in the crypto world, privacy and convenience are always at odds — every time I use a new wallet or platform, I have to fill out forms again and repeatedly upload the same documents. This endless repetition can be quite frustrating.

Recently, I came across some project ideas about decentralized identity management, especially how they enable users to control their own identity data, which completely changed my perspective.

It turns out that identities don't have to be fragmented into pieces. The real innovation is that — your identity information can be reusable, controllable, and transparent, rather than having to be verified by a third party every time. What does this user-centric identity model mean for the entire Web3 ecosystem? Efficiency is one aspect, but more fundamentally, it means users truly own their own identity sovereignty.

It’s worth noting that these kinds of innovative solutions are redefining trust mechanisms.

Self-sovereign identity is indeed a pain point; the repeated KYC processes before were really annoying. Decentralized identity is a good idea, especially compared to the current fragmented system. But to be honest, the real implementation depends on how cooperative each platform is... feels like just making promises again. If this can truly be achieved, the overall quality of the Web3 ecosystem could be significantly improved.

Damn, I really had to re-verify every time before, so annoying. Sovereignty of identity is definitely what Web3 should do, looking forward to it being implemented.

Someone finally said it. It was really annoying to have to redo KYC every time before. NGO, this kind of decentralized identity really has some substance. Sovereignty over identity is no longer just a slogan. By the way, which projects are truly being implemented? Hopefully not just PPT coins again.

Really, I have to re-verify every time, so annoying. Finally, someone is taking identity sovereignty seriously.

This is the true revolution in verification efficiency. The previous system of repetitive form filling was a complete waste of node verification computational resources. One identity verification, multi-chain reuse, can reduce the verification cycle by over 30%, and the data is right here.

Indeed, the feeling of repeatedly uploading before was really frustrating. Now that there is autonomous identity management, it’s much more comfortable. --- I feel like the direction of dID is right, but the real implementation depends on the cooperation of various platforms. --- Damn, someone finally said it. Having to redo KYC every time is really torturous. --- The concept of digital sovereignty sounds good, but I wonder if it will just become another form of KYC review. --- I just want to know when we can truly use it, not just empty promises again. --- This wave is indeed what Web3 should be doing. It’s much better than the current fragmented state. --- The problem is that users still need to trust these DID projects themselves, so we’re back to square one.

ngl the KYC fatigue is real but this whole "decentralized identity" pitch feels like it's solving the wrong inefficiency vector. yeah sure, composable credentials sound elegant on paper... but who's actually building the trust oracle layer here? the state transition costs alone would wreck most use cases lmao

Wow, finally someone is talking about this. Repeatedly messing with KYC really can drive people crazy. Identity sovereignty is indeed the last piece of the Web3 puzzle, but will it really be implemented? Feels like yet another vaporware project. Let's wait and see. With so many players in the DID space, it's really hard to say who will make it to the end. By the way, privacy and efficiency, this pair of enemies, have finally shaken hands. Awesome.
