Cypherpunk pioneer Adam Back recently dismissed concerns about quantum computing posing an imminent threat to Bitcoin, calling such fears overblown. The longtime Bitcoin advocate pushed back against growing speculation about quantum-related vulnerabilities, labeling the narrative as baseless panic. As quantum computing debates continue to surface in crypto circles, Back's perspective carries significant weight given his foundational contributions to cryptographic research. Rather than allowing fear narratives to dominate, market participants should focus on Bitcoin's proven resilience and the genuine technological roadmap ahead.

Adam Back said that the threat of Quantum Computing is exaggerated, and I think he is right, don't be swayed by FUD.

Adam Back says there's no need to fear quantum computing? Alright, anyway, we can't change it, so just trust it.

Adam Back is right. The hype around quantum threats is just a way to manipulate and profit, but those who truly understand cryptography know that BTC has had contingency plans in place for a long time.

ngl back's basically right here... the quantum FUD is just another inefficiency vector that algos are priced in already. if you're actually worried about post-quantum cryptography in 2024 you're prob not reading the protocol dynamics closely enough tbh
