I received a trader's request for help early in the morning: 10,000U full position with 20x leverage going long, and it was liquidated after just a 5% adverse move.

This case reveals a common misconception—many people equate "full position" with "risk tolerance," but in fact, it's the opposite. Full position is actually an accelerator for liquidation. Using 900U with 10x leverage, a 5% adverse move results in liquidation; similarly, with 10x leverage and a 100U position, it takes a 50% move to be liquidated. The key difference isn't the leverage multiple but the weight of the position.

A trader who has been zero-liquidation for half a year and still doubled their account summarized three ironclad risk control rules:

**Rule 1: Do not invest more than 20% of total funds in a single trade**
Protecting the principal means protecting the chance to turn things around. Even with small positions, continuous losses still leave enough buffer in the account.

**Rule 2: Limit single-loss to within 3% of total position**
No trading strategy is 100% accurate. Set strict stop-loss levels to ensure that even with consecutive mistakes, the account can withstand the losses.

**Rule 3: Do not open positions in choppy markets; do not chase profits during upward moves; only enter during trend breakouts**
Most liquidations happen during frequent operations in sideways markets. Wait for clear trend signals—once they appear, that's the real opportunity.

Full position is essentially a buffer, not gambling. Spend less time guessing the market direction, and focus more on position control—this way, you can be more stable and go further.

This guy went all-in with 20x leverage... Damn, what was he thinking? He lost 5%.

Full position means courting death. Why is this so hard to understand? After losing once, you still want to try again?

Oh, this is the gambler's mentality. 10,000U full position with 20x leverage. Does this guy really want to get rich overnight or is there another reason?

It's the same old story... but the data is indeed heartbreaking. I've seen too many cases where 900U is directly wiped out. Just check the address flow on the chain, and you'll see that 90% are poor souls with excessive concentration of funds.
