The golden rule of trading isn't complicated—let your winners breathe and eliminate your losers without hesitation. Set profit targets when positions work in your favor, but the real discipline comes from accepting small losses early. Holding onto underwater trades hoping for a reversal? That's how portfolios bleed. In volatile markets like crypto, position sizing and strict exit rules separate survivors from disaster stories. Take profits when technical levels align, cut losses when your thesis breaks. Simple math, difficult execution.

It's easy to say, but really hard to do. I've suffered a lot from cutting losses... Stop-loss is always the first lesson, but most people get killed here.

You're right, but how many people actually do it? I'm the kind of fool who stubbornly holds onto losing positions, waiting for a rebound...

That's true, but how many actually manage to do it? I've seen too many people say they will cut losses, only to be trapped and deceive themselves into waiting for a rebound.

Knowing what is easy and what is hard is one thing, but I am the damn person who can't hold on.

There's nothing wrong with that, but how many can actually do it? I've seen too many people agree verbally, but in reality, they cling to losing positions and pray for a rebound... This is probably the main reason why most people get liquidated in crypto.
