A well-known investor previously shared a screenshot of some of their US stock holdings, notably revealing a substantial Apple stock position—133,500 shares—demonstrating their confidence in this tech giant.

What’s truly interesting is the history of this investment. Of these, 131,112 shares were acquired on November 18, 2011, at a price of $13.75 per share, and held for 14 years, nearly multiplying the initial cost by 19 times. The latest unrealized gain is $33.92 million, with a return rate of 1,881.8%.

The date of November 2011 is quite intriguing. Considering the market context at that time, Apple had just launched the iPhone 4S, the Eurozone debt crisis was intensifying, and global risk assets were generally under pressure. It was during this pessimistic period that long-term value investors tended to buy at lows. This case shows that timing the bottom and holding patience often matter more than market timing in determining ultimate returns.

This is the real faith, I can't hold it for 14 years, I would have cut the meat at some point of rebound...

Wow, 14 years and a 19x increase. This is true passive income. How come I can't make it work even though I watch K-line charts every day?

Damn, that's why I'm still losing money... 14 years ago, people dared to go all-in during panic, and here I am still debating when to sell.

14 years? That's just crazy. As a small investor using compound interest, I simply can't hold out that long haha
