AI startup xAI has just announced the completion of Series E funding, with a staggering amount of 20 billion USD. Not only does this surpass the initial funding goal of 15 billion USD, but it also raises the funding ceiling for the entire AI track once again.

The investment lineup in this round is truly luxurious. Valor Equity Partners, Fidelity, Karda Investment Bureau, and MGX have all entered the scene, and most notably—chip giants NVIDIA and Cisco have directly participated as "strategic investors." What does this mean? It indicates that these industry giants are optimistic about xAI's future and want to gain an early advantage in AI infrastructure deployment.

According to official disclosed data, the X platform and Grok service under xAI have reached approximately 600 million monthly active users. How will this funding be used? The core goal is clear—continue expanding data centers and accelerate large model development.

Particularly noteworthy is the strategic cooperation between xAI, NVIDIA, and Cisco. The two sides will work together to build the world's largest GPU cluster, which will fully support the training of the new Grok 5 model. In the current era of fierce competition among large models, whoever masters more powerful computing power will control the pace of R&D. This 20 billion USD funding is essentially about seizing the high ground of computing power in the AI era.

20 billion directly poured in, this pace is really intense. I just don't know how long it can last, will the burning rate exceed expectations again?

20 billion dollars invested, essentially a battle for position. In an era where computing power is king, whoever holds the GPU wins.

20 billion USD? That's just too outrageous. Nvidia and Cisco are directly stepping in, they are determined to compete fiercely with other vendors.
