Speaking of which, the idea of a single metric has indeed long been outdated, but there are very few projects that can effectively handle multi-dimensional data. How ROI is calculated is the key.

You still need multi-chain cross-validation; relying on a single indicator can't prevent cheaters at all.

ngl, it's like trying to taste-test a dish with just one ingredient... single metrics are basically cooked at this point. the real alpha's in cross-referencing everything together tbh
