Maybe, maybe not. Thing is, market price doesn't always play by our technical rulebook. CME gaps tend to act like magnets—they pull price action toward them, but that magnetic force can lose its grip anytime. Sure, I respect these technical levels and the patterns they suggest. That said, I'm not going all-in on them. The reality of trading is knowing when to hold your thesis and when to accept that the market just won't cooperate. Respecting the levels means understanding their probability, not betting your account on perfection.

The market is no longer listening to technical indicators... The CME gap magnet theory sounds impressive, but if you really bet your account on it, you're doomed.

A thousand gold can't buy early knowledge. I'm damn sure I'm the idiot who used an account to gamble on the CME gap. The market doesn't follow logic; if the magnet can't hold, it just can't hold. The result of going all-in is that I get liquidated again and again. Now I only dare to respect the probabilities and don't dare to gamble on perfection.

The market talks about probabilities everywhere; no one can predict with certainty. I also don't believe in that 100% accurate theory.

Yeah, that's right. The market is just so unpredictable, and sometimes technical analysis is just a mirage.

ngl the "magnetic force can lose its grip anytime" part is just cope for when our models inevitably break down lmao. respecting probability distributions doesn't pay rent but it does keep your account alive, so... based i guess?

Well said, the market is not a calculator; technical analysis is just a game of probabilities.

ngl the CME gap worship is just capital inefficiency in disguise... price respects levels until it doesn't, that's literally the whole thesis validation problem nobody talks about. seen too many get liquidated chasing probability instead of managing opportunity cost

Haha, these are the blood, sweat, and tears lessons I've learned over the past three years... The CME gap is like a beautiful girl; at first, chasing her works well, but then suddenly she drops you. Who can say for sure?
