I have a question to consider: why do many incentive activities ultimately fade away quickly?
Recently, I saw a prize pool design of 3 million DUSK, and the idea is quite interesting. It’s not about throwing money to boost popularity, but clearly stating — what we want is your continuous output.
The mechanism looks straightforward: produce original content, complete task lists, and maintain activity. It sounds simple, but the real point lies in the rule setting. There’s no room for copying and pasting, no machine-generated spam, and every contribution must be verified. This means participants need to take it seriously.
How are rewards distributed? The base pool is evenly distributed by region, then separate pools are set for top creators and steady contributors. In other words, it’s not just winner-takes-all; stable output also gets rewarded. This design can indeed retain people.
To be more realistic, token prices fluctuate, and withdrawals take time, so those who can truly stick with it need the right mindset. This activity is not about making a quick splash but treating creation as a long-term project. It requires laying a solid foundation, maintaining rhythm, ensuring quality, and gradually accumulating. The short-term hype should be set aside; only by approaching it as a stable creative work can one truly benefit.

Looks good, but I bet five dollars that the activity level will drop sharply after three months.

Finally, I see an incentive design that doesn't rely on throwing money to survive, truly refreshing.

Haha, finally someone understands. Not all incentives can rely on throwing money to boost popularity.

To be honest, this mechanism is much more reliable than those frantic activities before. Finally, someone thought of creating something long-term.

It's that same "long-termism" again. It sounds good, but how many can truly stick to it?

Honestly, this is the right way. Most incentives are just a quick grab and run, but this design truly treats people as long-term collaborators.

This design is indeed much more reliable than those pump-and-dump activities, but to be honest, how many people can truly stick with it?
