Re-examining the core definitions of blockchain and crypto assets reveals that they are far more than just an upgraded version of financial technology. Many people tend to confuse them, but their logical foundations are completely different. Blockchain brings decentralized consensus, an immutable ledger, and native asset transfer methods — these are not replicable by fintech. The true next-generation applications (dapps) will not stop at mimicking traditional finance but will fully leverage the unique properties of blockchain. Only by deeply understanding these differences can we build truly revolutionary Web3 ecosystems.

That's right, the whole fintech thing has been played out long ago, and most people simply don't understand what decentralization is. The immutable ledger is indeed the core, everything else is nonsense.

To be honest, no matter how eloquently you put it, it depends on who is building the dapp. Right now, many are just rebranded versions.

Watching people treat blockchain as just fintech is really… a bit tiring. Is it really that hard to tell the difference? One is a ledger, and the other is a system. How can some people still not distinguish?

Well said, finally someone clarifies this point. Too many people are still treating blockchain as fintech, not realizing that these two are fundamentally different.

Well said, but in reality, how many projects are still hyping the concept of "blockchain financial upgrade" to deceive people?
