The U.S. Treasury Department just announced that IRS tax season will kick off on January 26—earlier than usual. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent confirmed the accelerated timeline is designed to fast-track the rollout of GOP tax break benefits and give the economy a shot in the arm heading into 2026.

Why does this matter for the market? Early tax refunds could translate into more disposable income flowing into the economy, which historically affects risk asset allocation. When households get cash back faster, some of that capital finds its way into alternative assets, including crypto. It's a classic macro policy play with downstream effects on sentiment and liquidity. Worth keeping tabs on as we head into Q1.

ngl this is classic macro theater... accelerated refunds = liquidity injection into alts. the real play isn't the refunds tho, it's tracking where that fresh capital flows. mempool's gonna get spicy q1.

The tax season is here, and retail investors now have cash flow. I bet five dollars that someone will directly rush into the crypto space.

Early tax season? Isn't this just a disguised liquidity injection? Retail investors will be cut again later...

Early tax refund? In the end, that money still flows into stocks and the crypto world—just a political show.

Early tax season moved up to January 26? Retail investors are saved now, can regain some strength before the end of the year... Whether it truly flows into the crypto market depends on the Federal Reserve's stance. Don't just focus on tax refunds and expectations; watch out for structural risks.
