【Blockchain Rhythm】A new development on January 9th worth noting — Ethereum Treasury Company Bitmine, listed on the American board of the New York Stock Exchange, has just announced a senior management change.
They appointed Young Kim, a partner at Axiom Investors, as Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer, reporting directly to Chairman Thomas “Tom” Lee. This appointment took effect immediately from the announcement.
Young Kim previously worked for ten years as a senior portfolio manager at Columbia Threadneedle Investments, with quite extensive investment management experience. This personnel change likely also reflects Bitmine’s strategic adjustments at the financial and operational levels.

Tom Lee is once again stirring up personnel changes. Can he stabilize Bitmine this time...
Young Kim has a decent background, but is merging these two positions really a wise move? It feels a bit rushed.
It looks like he's paving the way for the next round of funding.

Another Wall Street background coming to take over? This guy has ten years of investment experience; can he pull Bitmine out of the financial quagmire?

Young Kim has a ten-year investment background, integrating Axiom's perspective... If this move can optimize Bitmine's asset allocation, there might really be a chance to open up the cross-chain ecosystem. It has proven that only when people who understand capital operations come in can the protocol architecture match the ambition of interoperability.
