analyzed the mechanics here thoroughly - permissionless settlement is the core thesis, but ngl, the implementation details matter way more than the narrative. seen too many projects claim "true autonomy" then get wrecked by consensus exploits or validator cartel formations. bitcoin's actually proven it works at scale, which is... rare. most things don't hold up under scrutiny like that tbh.

BTC is truly impressive in this aspect—genuine permissionless settlement. Everything else depends on others' approval.
There's only one asset that can settle its final transactions without needing anyone's permission to do so.
