There is an interesting phenomenon in the Web3 field. When a new track first appears, those who can launch better products stand out clearly, and the product itself determines life or death. But when it reaches maturity, it's a different story — at this stage, most products on the market are quite similar, with similar functions. At this point, the real competition shifts to other areas. What are they? Liquidity, user base, brand trust, ecosystem integrity… These intangible assets become overwhelming advantages. Innovative products in the early stages are eliminated not because of poor technology, but because they lose in later competitive dimensions. This also explains why some projects that seem to have mediocre features can thrive, while some technologically advanced ones are forgotten by the market.

In simple terms, it's still about the ecosystem and user base in the end. Having good technology is useless if no one uses it, then it's dead.

To be honest, that's why I now focus on the ecosystem and user base when evaluating projects, and no longer look at the whitepaper haha

To be honest, that's why I always say that technical skills are useless; what's really important is having popularity and liquidity to support it. Once the ecological moat is built, everything else has to step aside. Thinking about those dead tech geek projects, it's really a pity. But on the other hand, those who bet on the right tracks early on are now smiling with their eyes closed. Liquidity is king; after all these years, it's still the same story.

That's right, which is why I favor those early bird projects. No matter how the features turn out, as long as liquidity is locked, you've already won half the battle.

Haha, that's why several of my technically talented friends' projects failed, while some seemingly mediocre ones are doing well. To put it simply, first-mover advantage and network effects crush everything. If your product is too weak, can it save you? No, it can't. Liquidity and user base are the true moats, and I truly understand this deeply.
