#私钥与钱包安全漏洞 Recently, I saw that Trust Wallet was exposed to a security vulnerability, and $6 million of user funds have been stolen. I feel quite heavy-hearted about this. This wallet has nearly 17 million monthly active users, and the wide impact makes us realize that risks are actually lurking around each of us.

I want to share an observation: a close look at the root causes of these security incidents shows that truly coming from official plugin vulnerabilities is actually rare; instead, counterfeit software and phishing attacks are the main culprits. What does this mean? It indicates that many thefts are not because the wallet itself is fragile, but because our precautions during downloading and usage are insufficient.

If you are using an affected version of the wallet, I strongly recommend following the advice of the SlowMist security team: disconnect from the internet first, then export your seed phrase to transfer assets. Never open your wallet while online; this is the most direct way to protect yourself. If you have backed up your seed phrase, transfer your assets before upgrading.

In the long run, we need to develop a few habits: only download wallets from official channels, regularly update to the latest version, and stay vigilant against unfamiliar download links and installation prompts. Asset security has never been just a technical issue; it’s more about awareness. Each of us is the last line of defense for our assets, and this responsibility cannot be replaced by anyone else.
