#美国贸易赤字状况 The night when 3 million was turned into 600,000

In 2018, I turned 300,000 yuan of principal into 3 million in Shenzhen. At that time, I truly felt that financial freedom was just around the corner. But after three days of consecutive declines during Christmas, my account was down to only 600,000 in two weeks. At that moment, I realized that "waiting a bit longer to break even" was just self-deception.

The most painful lesson came from leverage. I used 20x leverage to go long on $ETH, enjoying the thrill of earning 400,000 in one day, only to be wiped out in two hours during the 519 market crash, losing 600,000. My heart was pounding so hard I felt it might jump out of my chest.

After that, I strictly adhered to a few ironclad rules: maximum leverage of 3x, no more than 5% of the portfolio in a single coin. No matter how tempting big profits are, I had to resist, because leverage is not wings—it's a sword in hand, and a slip can lead to bloodshed.

Altcoins are even more treacherous. The so-called "domestic Ethereum" that I once traded from 250,000 to 1.5 million, I was so mesmerized I couldn't bring myself to sell. In the end? It was completely wiped out. Now, my wallet allocation is very fixed—85% in $BTC and $ETH, with the remaining 15% as a lottery ticket, just for fun. No matter how dazzling the fireworks, they only flash briefly.

Stop-loss must be enforced strictly. I set my stop-loss at 8%. When it hits, I cut. No exceptions. Before each trade, I ask myself: if my account were wiped out, could I still enjoy hotpot as usual? If I can't answer, I first put on this "stop-loss underwear" obediently.

Five years have passed, and my trading curve has finally stopped plunging vertically. Surviving in this market is already a win.

3 million per night drops to 600,000, this is the story I don't have. Leverage is really a poison; watching a 20x liquidation made my scalp tingle. Only brave warriors still dare to use 20x leverage now, I’m the cowardly type, just holding BTC and ETH and waiting to die. People really need to be pricked a few times to remember, right? By the way, that "domestic Ethereum" was wiped out from 1.5 million, you must have a strong mindset to continue staying in the crypto circle. I need to learn about the 8% stop-loss line, or I’ll always be thinking it can rebound.

Oh no, that's why I am now holding tightly onto BTC and ETH, and not touching anything else at all. I was also in that wave of 519, leverage is really a poison, it was gone in an instant. Setting the stop-loss at 8% and still dare to say you're alive? I’ve already relaxed haha. I haven't stepped into that scam of altcoins, I saw through this trick a long time ago. The phrase "Living is winning" is so profound, it’s the most resonant thing I've heard in the crypto world. Every time I want to chase the rally, but thinking of this story makes me hold back hard, it’s really eye-opening. 3 million to 600,000? That’s so heartbreaking, just watching it makes me feel for you.

At the moment of 20x leverage, your mentality really collapses. My friend also got liquidated on ETH, and since then, he never touches high leverage again. The analogy of stop-loss as underwear is hilarious, but he's right—it's only when you control your greed that you truly make a profit.

The moment of liquidation due to leverage is really a mental test. Where are those who played with 20x leverage now? --- I've also experienced zeroing out altcoins. At that time, I realized that in the crypto world, there are no stories, only data. --- I need to remember the 8% stop-loss line, or else it's really no different from gambling. --- "Can I still enjoy hotpot after account zeroing?" That's a good question; it really made me think. --- I definitely couldn't sleep that night when my balance dropped from 3 million to 600,000. Leverage is indeed a double-edged sword, not a dream. --- Are there still people willing to use 20x leverage now? I'm completely scared off. Long-term holding of small amounts of ETH is really satisfying.
