Mavis Tan Joins FTI Consulting To Expand Asia's Forensic Investigation Capabilities

FTI Consulting has bolstered its Forensic and Litigation Consulting team in Asia by bringing onboard Mavis Tan as Senior Managing Director, marking a significant strategic move in the region’s financial investigation and dispute resolution landscape.

Tan brings two decades of specialized expertise in forensic accounting, investigation support, and dispute analysis to the Hong Kong-based role. Her career track record demonstrates extensive involvement with multinational enterprises and high-net-worth clients navigating complex financial allegations and fraud-related claims. She has served as an expert witness across both civil and criminal legal proceedings and conducted forensic due diligence reviews for major deal transactions across Asia Pacific markets.

Prior to rejoining FTI Consulting, Mavis led forensic services operations for Greater China and North Asia at Control Risks, where she managed high-profile regulatory and internal investigations. Her scope of work has encompassed addressing accounting irregularities, asset misappropriation concerns, conflicts of interest issues, and regulatory compliance vulnerabilities. Additionally, she has supported multinational organizations in strengthening internal control frameworks following major transactions or post-investigation remediation efforts.

The appointment of Mavis represents FTI Consulting’s broader push to deepen its multidisciplinary forensic, investigative, data analytics, and compliance capabilities throughout the Asian market.
