Continuous Law Enforcement in Malaysia: 41 Illegal Mining Devices Seized, Multiple Criminal Law Violations

Recently, Malaysian police carried out a series of enforcement actions in the Teluk Intan area of Perak state, confiscating a total of 41 electronic devices suspected of being used for illegal cryptocurrency mining within one week. According to local law enforcement agencies, this large-scale seizure was conducted in phases, with the first round on Friday evening resulting in the interception of 24 devices, followed by two investigative operations early Saturday morning that recovered 9 and 8 devices respectively.

**Legal Basis and Framework**

The police have determined that the aforementioned devices are involved in multiple illegal activities. Under Malaysia's current legal system, this case falls under the provisions of Section 427 of the Penal Code, as well as violating Section 37 of the Electricity Supply Act 1990. These provisions mainly target illegal electricity usage and unauthorized use of equipment. Throughout the enforcement process, relevant departments also followed the framework of the Criminal Procedure Code for investigation and evidence collection.

**Case Investigation Progress**

As of now, no arrests have been made in connection with this case. Hilir Perak police district chief stated that the case is still under in-depth investigation, and relevant units are tracing the source of the devices and the illegal mining network behind them.
