The crypto ecosystem will mature its infrastructure in 2025: Welcome to the Age of Quality

Crypto applications reached a significant turning point this year. The effort for everyone to build their own private infrastructure has given way to industry-standard, reusable solutions. This shift has fundamentally changed the strategies of platforms like Polymarket and Aave, which provide (B2B) services among organizations.

Returns from the previously over-invested technological infrastructure have started to decline. While this encourages users to prefer familiar and easily understandable interfaces, it also prompts product managers to focus on real user problems rather than technology castles.

The most notable partnership in the crypto world during this period was the integration of Coinbase’s Base blockchain infrastructure with the Morpho protocol. This move clearly demonstrated where value is concentrated and which solutions dominate the market. Just like rare and valuable opportunities like black diamonds, such integrations now reveal themselves.

Consumer-centric (B2C) projects need to rethink their strategies instead of remaining passive in this trend. The old success formula of aggressive user acquisition campaigns is giving way to quality integrations and ecosystem partnerships.

Although not all applications are withdrawing from the scene, new token launches still reflect the live market dynamics. However, observable changes accompany these listing periods: a shift from the old “grow fast or die” mentality to a “deeply integrate” approach. As the crypto sector standardizes its infrastructure, it is also maturing in terms of service quality and user experience.
