Arkham Intelligence’s analytical platform has released an extensive study adding data on the suspected addresses of Satoshi Nakamoto—the mysterious creator of Bitcoin. The wallets associated with Satoshi Nakamoto, containing exactly 1,096,354 BTC, are valued at $76.9 billion USD at current prices, placing the anonymous developer at 14th on Forbes’ list of the world’s wealthiest people—above names like Michael Dell, Bill Gates, and Michael Bloomberg.

How Arkham Experts Tracked the Creator’s Addresses

Arkham Intelligence experts used the famous scientific work “Patoshi Pattern,” published by researcher Sergio Demian Lerner in 2013. This work reveals a unique pattern in the block structure mined by Satoshi himself in Bitcoin’s early days. This methodology allowed the company to identify 22,000 addresses linked to the cryptocurrency’s creator.

According to Arkham Intelligence, Nakamoto’s wallets hold 5.22% of all Bitcoin ever issued. This figure highlights the enormous influence Satoshi had on the development of the entire blockchain ecosystem from its very inception.

From Early Transactions to Billion-Dollar Wealth

Interestingly, Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallets show a specific activity history during the network’s early days. Between January 12, 2009, and July 23, 2010, 13 transactions were recorded, all performed by Satoshi himself. The first and most famous was a transfer of 10 BTC to cryptography pioneer Hal Finney. Two payments went to another developer, Mike Hearn, and a third involved a transfer of 500 BTC to an anonymous address.

Data from Arkham confirms that after July 2010, no further movements occurred on these wallets—more than 16 years have passed without a single transaction. This has led to many theories: either Satoshi lost access to the private keys, or intentionally holds the coins, understanding their historical value.

Is Satoshi Still in the Network?

Despite community and analyst monitoring, no one has yet proven that the Bitcoin creator has moved the coins or is using other unknown addresses. Arkham’s research brings transparency to the status of Satoshi Nakamoto’s wallets but leaves open the main question: who is really behind this legendary name, and what motives drove the creator of the cryptocurrency that revolutionized the financial world?
