Mars Finance reports that a fuel tank facility near Dubai International Airport (DXB) in the United Arab Emirates caught fire suddenly on March 16 local time. Preliminary investigations suggest a drone attack. Dubai International Airport has temporarily suspended flights, and Emirates Airlines announced a suspension of operations. Some scheduled flights for today have been canceled. Several flights from China to Dubai today diverted to other airports, including Guangzhou to Dubai flight EK363, Shanghai to Dubai flight EK303, and Shenzhen to Dubai flight EK329, which diverted to Al Maktoum International Airport (DWC). Beijing to Dubai flight EK307 diverted to Muscat. Previously, Chinese airlines’ flights to Dubai had been suspended until the end of the month, with only Emirates flights still operating.
