Bitcoin Whale Ratio Selling Pressure
🐳 Whale Ratio simply shows the share of #BTC that large whales send to exchanges within the total flow. When the ratio rises, it indicates that large players are carrying more $BTC to exchanges. This typically signals increased selling intent.
Looking at the recent period, the price has already moved downward within a weak structure and has not yet generated a strong recovery signal. At this exact point, the Whale Ratio rising again shows that the quality of supply coming to the market has changed. In other words, it's not small retail investors becoming active, but rather large players. This situation, especially since the price is in a recovery process, means the increasing Whale Ratio suppresses this recovery. Because the likelihood of encountering selling during upward attempts increases. Considering that the price's main trend is in a downtrend, this ratio increase could accelerate the continuation of the decline. Because the liquidity added to the selling side becomes heavier.
Especially since this data belongs to one of the highest volume spot markets, movements here have a direct impact on price formation. Therefore, the effect of the increase seen here is generally felt more clearly and without delay.
💫 Currently, we cannot say the price is at the bottom, but it is attempting to enter an upward trend from a low level. If the Whale Ratio is rising in this situation, it could be a move to convert this price increase into a selling opportunity.
✍️ In the short term, this structure could cause upward movements to remain limited and the price to either trade sideways or experience renewed downward pressure. Particularly in places where such flows from large players become concentrated and active, price direction tends to be more harsh and decisive. Considering that Bitcoin broke through the $72,750 resistance without volume, the price could face selling pressure.
In summary, we can say that the increase in Whale Ratio is producing a suppressive signal for price in the current market structure.
