Mars Finance News, March 19 — According to Seth G. Jones, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in the United States, the phase of direct military strikes by the U.S. against Iran may only last “a few days or weeks,” mainly due to insufficient long-range strike and defensive munitions stockpiles. He pointed out that prior to the latest round of strikes, U.S. critical ammunition reserves were already under strain, which will force the Donald Trump administration to scale back military operations. However, even if the U.S. gradually withdraws, Israel is expected to continue periodic strikes against Iran, similar to its long-term military strategy in Lebanon targeting armed groups. Analysts believe that ending the current phase of conflict could help ease tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and push oil prices down, but shipping recovery still depends on subsequent diplomatic negotiations.
