Jones, an expert at the Center for Strategic and International Studies in the United States, the phase of direct military strikes by the U.S. against Iran may only last “a few days or weeks,” mainly due to insufficient long-range strike and defensive munitions stockpiles. He pointed out that prior to the latest round of strikes, U.S. critical ammunition reserves were already under strain, which will force the Donald Trump administration to scale back military operations.
