Russian media reported that an Omani journalist stated on a program broadcast by the BBC Arabic Channel that the United States is pressuring Gulf states to pay enormous sums for U.S. involvement in the Iran conflict. He said Trump presented Arab allies with a bill: either pay 5 trillion dollars to continue military operations, or spend 2.5 trillion dollars to end the war, with the 2.5 trillion to be used to cover war expenses and pay for the gains achieved. In the journalist's description, the United States is demanding fees under the pretext of "protecting the region." According to estimates by multiple professional institutions, U.S. military operations against Iran cost between 1 billion to 2 billion dollars daily.
