I was wondering why so many people have been asking me lately if I have any VPN recommendations. Turns out your fast VPN service has increased its prices again.

Currently, I mainly use a combination of a VPN service and a subscription.
🔸 For Mac, I mainly use Shadowrocket (you can download it for free with a US region ID). For Windows, I mainly use Clash Verge. Of course, Mac users can also use Clash (download from GitHub):
🔸 As for subscriptions, opinions vary. Some people set up their own overseas servers, while others use free shared subscription services. I don’t know how to set up my own and I don’t want to use shared subscriptions, so I mostly rely on @chiroukyc, who handles everything for me. I’ve been using it for a year and a half. Occasionally, there are some issues during peak times, but a quick reset from him usually fixes it. Overall, the experience is pretty good.
Additionally, I have some Hong Kong/Macau SIM cards for emergency VPN use. The main one is a Macau Telecom Greater Bay Area SIM card. It used to be able to share a hotspot with other devices, but it seems the policy has changed. Now, once you switch back to a Macau SIM card, hotspot sharing is no longer allowed. Still, overall, it’s a cost-effective option, but you need to go to Macau to get it.
