Mars Finance News On April 5, Swedish Lund University announced that the university has been involved in developing a new artificial intelligence (AI) model that, through a single blood test, can help identify multiple neurodegenerative diseases, providing new ideas for early screening and assisted diagnosis of related conditions. Researchers from Lund University and other institutions developed an AI model based on protein measurement data from more than 17k patients and healthy controls. By learning blood protein characteristics associated with multiple diseases, the model can identify a set of specific proteins, thereby identifying different diseases. The results showed that this model can detect five diseases or conditions, including Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease, amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, frontotemporal dementia, and a history of stroke.
