Be careful, Trump is going to get aggressive on Monday! Will the market reverse? Can Bitcoin be shorted? Come and take a look.
1. First, regarding Monday's market, a reversal may occur. The reason is that Trump previously threatened Iran with a 10-day consideration period; if they don't surrender, he will bomb their power plants! Now that the deadline is approaching, will Trump really bomb?
2. Based on Trump's past behavior patterns, he tends to back down at the last moment, essentially retreating, which is like shooting himself in the foot. So there's a pretty high chance that Trump will back down again from Monday night to Tuesday early morning. If he does, the market is likely to rebound temporarily.
3. However, the overall market trend remains very bearish. The war continues, and the strait is still not open for navigation, so I think even if Trump backs down and we see a rebound, it will only be temporary. Ultimately, the market will probably fall again. A real rebound will happen only when the US and Iran agree to a ceasefire—that will be the true reversal, and then we should aggressively go long.
4. Coming back to Monday, I personally will start shorting around the relatively conservative previous high of 68,200, preparing for the high-altitude entry opportunity Trump might give us. The second resistance is at 71.5k, which is quite far away, so I won't focus on that for now.
5. As for short-term action, Shuqin suggested yesterday to short near 67.8k. As shown in the chart, I mentioned to short just below resistance. I personally shorted at 67.6k, but the price only rebounded to 67.5k—just a little short of my entry, so I missed out on a big profit. Very unfortunate, and I can't boast about it today. 🤣
6. But overall, our trading strategy is still solid. Monday's fundamentals are bearish due to the war, but we need to watch out for Trump backing down and causing a rebound. Shuqin and I will keep an eye on the market together, and when good opportunities arise, we will go long or short accordingly, operating daily.
