@Aave has unveiled “Aave Shield,” a new safeguard aimed at preventing extreme trade slippage.
The feature automatically blocks trades with over 25% price impact.
The move follows a $50.4 million swap that triggered a 99.9% price impact.
The trade routed through CoW Swap into a SushiSwap $AAVE/WETH pool.
At the time, the pool held only about $73,000 in liquidity depth.
The trader received just 327 AAVE, worth roughly $36,000.
