CME FedWatch: The probability of a 25 basis point rate cut by the Federal Reserve in January is only 2.1%.


According to a report from Deep Tide TechFlow on January 26, data from CME's "FedWatch" shows that with only 3 days left until the FOMC meeting on January 30, the market expects a 25 basis point rate cut this month to have only a 2.1% probability, while the probability of maintaining the current interest rate is as high as 97.9%. The probability of the Federal Reserve cutting rates by a total of 50 basis points by March has fallen to 0.6%, with a 25 basis point rate cut having a probability of 27.0%, and the probability of keeping the existing interest rate level reaching 72.4%.
