On the fifty-third day at Gate.io, my assets turned negative for the first time, and I incurred losses for the first time.
Before going to bed this morning, I casually opened a copycat IP, 2 times leverage. I thought it needed to rise or fall by 50% to Get Liquidated, but I didn't expect to wake up in the morning and have already lost half. Tonight, after midnight, it surged nearly 20 points again.
I rarely touch the copycat exchanges, but this time I was a bit irrational. There was also a chance to stop the loss during the live broadcast in the afternoon, but due to greed, I didn't close the position in order to earn the management fee. In the end, I still adhere to my main position in Ethereum.
Another account suffered even more losses. The 5300u earned from Ethereum today is not enough to cover the cost of opening a position. It's also the first time I've realized how powerful the funding management fee is. I'll remember it next time.
Take a few days off and then re-challenge. I declared failure at the first attempt.
Lesson learned: Don't try to profit in unfamiliar areas. Stay away from copycats and stick to Ethereum honestly.
