The William Neal Reynolds Memorial Stakes takes place on the 13th October at @Plainridge Racecourse in Massachusetts. A loved man on the harness racing circuit and known as the VP for Reynolds Tobacoo Company in 1889, now known as @RAI_News
"Mr Will," as he was fondly known served as a member of the @Hambletonian_ Society, as well as founder and trustee of @harnessmuseum.
The stakes events are contested by 3YO trotters and pacers, split into separate divisions for filly's as well as colts and geldings and is seen as a launchpad towards high profile races like the Hambletonian or the @TheMeadowlands Pace.
In 2024 standardbred Karl, trained & owned by @NancyTakter crushed the field and cruised to the line under a hold in 1:51 flat taking out the $50,000 purse and taking his career record to 13/14 at that time.
