BTQ Technologies announced the successful deployment of BIP 360 on Bitcoin Quantum Testnet, addressing quantum vulnerability issues with Taproot by using a new output type P2MR to prevent public key exposure. The testnet has attracted 50 miners and possesses complete validation capabilities. Quantum threats currently have limited overall security impact on Bitcoin, but approximately 7 million bitcoins are within the risk range. BIP 360 is still in draft stage and requires careful review before mainnet deployment.
